Obituary for Herbert E. Sload Jr.

Herbert E. Sload Jr.
Herbert E. Sload Jr., 53, of Highspire, formerly of Lancaster, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 suddenly at his home.
He was born on July 20, 1963 in Harrisburg PA and was the son of Herbert E. Sload Sr. and Carol (Bryan) Hefflefinger.
Herbert was a Born Again Christian and was of the Baptist Faith. He was the owner of Abe's Recon car detailing and enjoyed fishing, target shooting, boating, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He graduated from Hempfield High School class of 1982.
Herbert was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served from 1984-1987.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Abe and Verna Sload.
He is survived by his father, Herbert E. Sload Sr. and his wife Mary of Lindside WV; his mother, Carol (Bryan) Hefflefinger; three siblings, Shelly A. Pohle of Columbia, PA, Beth A. Fisher and her husband Jeffrey of Elizabethtown, and Matt P. Matincheck of Elizabethtown and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A tribute to his life will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 12:30 at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown with Pastor Terry Lambert officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of services, Monday at the funeral home.
Burial with military honors will immediately follow at the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
