Obituary for William Joseph McNulty

William Joseph McNulty
William J. McNulty – March 11, 1941 – February 4, 2017
William McNulty, age 75, of Mount Joy formerly of Hershey and Middletown, passed away while surrounded by his family: his wife of 56 years, Beverly, children, Greg McNulty of Blandon, Laurie Flowers (Greg) of Elizabethtown, Kelly Jowett (Joe) of Plymouth Meeting. As well as his grandchildren, Lauren Flowers, Cody McNulty, Cory McNulty, Katie Flowers, Liam Flowers, Joey Jowett, Will Jowett and his adored Great Granddaughter, Madelyn Good. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Diane) McNulty of Middletown and sister Jane (Tim) Brantley of Mansfield, Texas.
Bill was a proud 1959 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg. He served his country in the Air Force, with studies at H.A.C.C. and Cornell University, before becoming the General Manager of the Dempsey’s Restaurant chain.
You may have known Bill from one of his many hobbies. Be it fly fishing in his Parker boat, as the photographer at your wedding, preparing your taxes or at the shooting range. To his family, he was our strength, our hero, and an empathetic soul to support us when we needed it most.
His family would like to thank all of their extended family members, friends, and caring staff of Hershey Medical Center for their prayers, continued support, and loving care as their beloved husband, Dad, Gramps and Pop Pop fought his battle with cancer.
A memorial service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., to handle the funeral arrangements.
Please consider a donation in his honor to the American Cancer Association. A memorial service will be announced by family at a later date.
