Obituary for Josephine Potts

Josephine A. “Jo Ann” Potts, 67, of Harrisburg entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital. She was the widow of Alonzo Potts.
Jo Ann was born on Sunday, October 30, 1949 in Gallitzin, PA, the daughter of the late Carl J. Reed and Josephine Reed Hess.
Jo Ann was a fabulous cook and was a very avid Bingo and Keno player. She was the caregiver for her whole family. Jo Ann enjoyed spending time with her sisters, “B” and Carol. But her greatest joy was sharing her love with her Grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Christopher E. Reed, of Harrisburg and Shawn G. Reed and husband, Raul Villabona, of Philadelphia, two sisters, Elizabeth “B” and husband, Edward “Bro” Shull, of Middletown and Carol Reed, of Mechanicsburg, three Granddaughters, Christina Reed and Fiancé, Donald “Butchie” Evans, Ashley Reed and A’Leigha Reed, four Great Grandchildren, Aiden, Krystiana, Jace and Sofia and several nieces and nephews.
A tribute to Jo Ann’s life will be held on Friday, April 14th, 2017 at 11:30 AM in the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. Viewing hours will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday in the Funeral Home. Private Family Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Jo Ann may be made to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation at ccfa.org
