Obituary for Jennifer Dice
Jennifer H. Dice, 42, of Harrisburg, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 5th, 2017 in Harrisburg Hospital. She was the loving wife of Cassandra L. Dice.
Jennifer was born on January 26, 1975 in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of Melvin D. Jr. and Barbara G. (Grove) Henry. She was a US Navy veteran where she served as a corpsman. Jen worked in the medical field as an anesthesia technician. She was a volunteer for Pitties Love Peace, Elizabethtown. Jen enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting, gardening, reading, horseback riding and archery. She was a big animal advocate. Jen’s greatest love was her family!
In addition to her wife, Jen is survived, her daughter, Taylor C. LaFollette, of Sanger, CA, her son, Nicholas M. LaFollette, of McSherrystown, her parents, Melvin D. Jr. and Barbara (Grove) Henry, of Middletown, her brother, Michael D. Henry and fiancee’, Teresa Rubio, her maternal grandfather, Harry B. Grove, Jr., her Father-In-Law, Charles W. Dice, Jr., her Mother-In-Law, Lori J. Bluste, her Brother-In-Law, Scott W. Dice and her beloved pets, Zara Love Dice, Brandy Henry and Mr. Stitcher. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as lifelong friends, James Clements, Christine Poligone Dorman, and Darcy Lyter Allen.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Helen Love Grove, and by her paternal grandparents, Melvin D. Henry Sr. and Hilda M. Henry.
Jennifer was a warm person with a giving heart. She requested that her organs be donated, and Gift of Life said many others will benefit from her generosity.
A tribute to Jennifer’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Matinchek Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. at 260 East Main Street, Middletown, PA. Visitation will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hillsdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in memory of Jen to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
