Obituary for Terry D. Jefferson

Terry D. Jefferson, 51, of Middletown went home to be with the Lord on August 8,2017.
Born on March 21, 1966 in Hampton, Virginia, he was the loving son of Donald Jefferson and the late Arlene (Howling) Jefferson.
Terry was a United States Army Veteran where he was part of the 82nd Airborne Division.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 594 and the VFW Post 1620 both of Middletown. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and just being outdoors. His greatest love was spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Terry is survived by his wife of 15 years Sheila (Williams) Jefferson and his two children Terrance D. and Alexis H. Jefferson. In addition he is survived by his sister Ursula ( Frank) Flowers, his brothers Anthony (Annette) Jefferson, Ricky Jefferson, his sister Tammy (Tim) Slys; four nieces Amber, Nicky, Tameka, Tiara, and five nephews Preston, Anthony, Aieron, Jordan, and Timothy. He is survived by numerous great nieces and nephews.
A tribute to Terry's life will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 212 N. Progress Ave. Harrisburg, PA with the Rev. Reginald Bass officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Terry's name to the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 East Main St. Middletown, PA 17057 with the funeral arrangements.
