Obituary for Richard Vastine

Richard Vastine
Richard Edward Vastine, age 54, entered into eternal rest suddenly Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his home.
He was born on July 13, 1963 in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Robert S. Jr. and Agnes P. (Doyle) Vastine.
He was a Mixing and Pelleting Technician at Cargill in Lebanon.
Rick was the perfect example of what a good father should be and will be deeply missed by his three children, family, and friends. He was a hard-working, down-to-earth, humble man who enjoyed reading and watching sports in his free time.
He often told his children to "do what makes you happy" and those are words of advice that will always resonate with them.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy J. Vastine.
Rick is survived by his daughter Nicole Vastine; two sons Kyle Vastine and Jared Vastine; brothers Robert Vastine, and Donald Vastine(Judith Hoffman); sisters Patricia Vastine and Janet Vastine Kirchner(John)  along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 8th, open to all friends, family, coworkers, and relatives at the American Legion located at 137 High St. in Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Middletown Public Library at 20 N. Catherine St., Middletown, PA 17057. With the remittance of any donations please add Memo: Rick Vastine.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Middletown to handle the funeral arrangements.
