Obituary for Carolyn Brooks

Carolyn Brooks, 89, of Middletown, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy PA 17552.
She was born on July 25, 1928 in Altoona, PA and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mae (Wilson) Shull.
Carolyn was retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot and a graduate of Altoona High School class of 1947.
She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, Steelton, Hershey Italian Lodge and National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Brooks, two brothers, Harry Dean Shull and John S. Shull; three sisters, Marjorie S. Corl, Dorothy B. Yeatts, and Betty Davidson; and a companion, Harold D. Espenshade.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
A tribute to her life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 260 E. Main St. Middletown PA 17057 with the Rev. Dr. Michael Brossman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-10:30 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 1010 Orchard Dr., Steelton PA 17113 or to the charity of your choice.
