Obituary for Benjamin C. Arehart

Benjamin C. Arehart, 64, of Harrisburg entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born September 13, 1953 in Middletown and was the loving son of the late Weldon and Ruth (Boughter) Arehart.
Benjamin was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Middletown.
He had a love for life, animals and food but his greatest love was his wife. He liked to read comic books in his spare time. He would always smoke a good cigar and loved talking with people.
Benjamin was survived by his wife of 14 years, Kimberly (Reed) Arehart; brothers, John Arehart (Colleen) of Middletown, Thomas Arehart of Chicago and several cousins.
A tribute to Benjamin's life will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Spring & Union St. at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:30 AM until the hour of service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Benjamin's name to Humane Society of Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17111.
The family has entrusted the care of the Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 East Main St. Middletown, PA with the funeral arrangements.
