Obituary for Arlene L. Wilson (Doling)

Arlene L. Wilson, 87, of Bainbridge, PA, entered into the presence of her Lord on Friday, January 19, 2018.
She was born December 13, 1930 in Yonkers, New York, and was the loving daughter of the late William
and Anna (Amundsen) Doling.
Arlene was Christian by faith and attended Word of Life Chapel, Bainbridge, PA.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her loving husband, James D. Wilson. Arlene
and Jim were married 51 years and their life together was a true love story. The family is grateful that
they are now reunited.
Arlene was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Chuck Schatz and nephew, Bill Doling.
Arlene is survived by her son, James R. Wilson (Janet), of Monroe, CT; her daughter, Karen M.
Schatz of Bainbridge; grandchildren; Christa Wilson, Julianne (Sam) Warfield, Greg (Heather) Schatz, Jeff
(Ashley) Schatz, and Chris and Kimberly Gladitsch; and great-grandchildren; Gage, Clay, Dakota and
Kamie Schatz. Arlene is also survived by her brother, Buddy (Blanche) Doling, brother-in-law, Doug
(Ginny) Wilson, and her many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Arlene was also loved, and will be missed, by the many children that knew her as “Grandma.” She
enjoyed spending time playing games, reading, and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She spent many years volunteering at the Bainbridge Elementary School because she loved
being around the children. They brought her so much joy and we know that she brought joy to them,
too.
A celebration of Arlene's life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Word of Life Chapel, 139
Wickersham Road, Bainbridge, PA 17502 with Pastor Mark Habecker officiating. There will be a visitation
from 2:00-3:00 pm and the service will be at 3:00 pm.
