Obituary for Grace Ann Teats

Grace Ann Teats, 62 entered peacefully in to the gates of Heaven Saturday, February 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 13, 1955 in Coatesville, PA and was the loving daughter of Elizabeth J (O’Bryan) Rice and the late Donald R Rice, Sr.
She was employed at the Hershey Medical Center in Environmental Services for 10 years and prior to that the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra, PA.
One of her greatest loves was spending time with her family especially her loving daughter, grand-daughter and great-grandson. She enjoyed sitting outside taking in fresh air with her furry companions Teddy and Toby. She loved to go shopping, bake her famous deserts and always make sure everyone had home cooked meals.
In addition to her mother, Grace is survived by her husband Chester Teats of Newville, daughter, Michelle Bennett and her husband Troy of Middletown; granddaughter, Brianna Bennett-Stouffer and great grandson Johzia Thomas of Middletown along with her previous husband whom remained her lifelong friend, Joseph Stouffer of Palmyra; siblings Dorothy Day (Phil) of Bradenton FL, Donald Rice (Kathryn) of Jonestown, John Rice of Grantville, Patricia Rice of Palmyra, Judy Meyerhoffer (Roger) of Palmyra along with many special nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
There will be a Celebration of Grace’s life on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 East Main St. Middletown, PA with Pastor John Lanza officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 AM until the time of the service on Friday.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg. Memorial Contributions may be made to a fund set up at Member’s First Bank 361 E Main Street, Middletown, PA 17057 to offset expenses in Grace’s name or to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd Harrisburg, PA 17110.
